Rumer Willis Gushes About BF Derek Thomas’ Singing Skills
Rumer Willis is in awe of her boyfriend’s singing talent!
As you may know, the eldest daughter of actor Bruce Willis and Demi Moore debuted her romance with Derek Richard Thomas last year. Less than a month after going Instagram official, Rumer announced they were expecting a baby together.
The “DWTS” alum, a singer herself, has always gushed about her beau’s songs. Even as far as promoting his songs on her social media. Again, the pregnant actress marveled at her partner’s talent and praised him.
Rumer Willis Gushes About Boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas’ Singing Skills
The “Hostage” actress can’t get over her man being fully talented. She excitedly reposted a video of her man flaunting his singing prowess to her Instagram stories and gushed about his talent. The clip captured a casually dressed Thomas in a dimly lit room playing the piano while he sang a song soulfully.
The lyrics to the song were written across the footage, and it read, “Long as we can say what’s on our mind, then we will be just fine.” In the post’s caption, the “Sorority Row” actress gushed, “I can’t believe this magic human is my partner. You are so talented and inspire me everyday @derekrichardthomas.”
Only a few days ago, Rumer and Thomas had sweetly sung together at their baby’s shower. As we reported, the couple hosted an intimate baby shower with their loved ones in attendance.
However, Rumer’s dad, Bruce, was absent from the party, but her mom and stepmom, Emma Heming Willis attended the happy moment. The legendary actor’s absence was possibly linked to his health condition. Bruce was recently diagnosed with dementia which had gotten worse after battling with aphasia.
Also, Rumer’s siblings, Tallulah, Scout, Evelyn, and Mabel Willis, were part of her special day, including her fellow “DWTS” alum Petra Murgatroyd. From the images that captured the special moment, the expectant mom looked breathtaking in a body-hugging white dress. The clothing item detailed her cute baby bump, which her siblings cradled in one snap.
Rumer was excited about her first baby shower despite her father’s absence. The actress described her joy in being blessed with the right support system. “I feel such gratitude and joy to have been surrounded by so many people that I love,” she said.
She further shared that she “had fun” at the event, partly due to her singing with her partner, who played the piano for all the guests.
The “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” stat noted that she was overjoyed to have a little one. In her words, “I am honestly just excited for all of it, even the tough stuff. It is such a privilege to bring a child into the world, and I just feel so happy.”
The “DWTS” Alum Already Knows What Kind Of Kid She Would Have
Already, the “Empire” star knows what her little one would be like, which she updated her fans about. As The Blast reported, the soon-to-be mom reposted a reel showing a view of well-arranged wooden nursery beds with no growing plants. The clip was captioned, “I was just minding my business in the garden, and I noticed this…”
The prompt led the person behind the camera to reveal the rear of the nursery, showing a child lying in a sand-filled bed covered with dirt. The cute toddler paid little attention to the person filming it and instead focused on playing with the soil.
Rumer was confident that her unborn baby would be like the filmed toddler, and she relayed this in her caption. She wrote, “This will be 100% @dereckrichardthomas and my kid.”
This isn’t the first time the 34-year-old has given updates about her pregnancy. Previously, she shared a positive change that came with her pregnancy. She revealed that she started setting boundaries almost immediately after finding out she was expecting.
“It’s made me upgrade so fast,” she disclosed. “Like things where I used to have such a nature to be people pleasing or to not stand up for myself for little things that then would kind of get under my skin.”
Rumer added that she had changed her mindset and started speaking up for herself. She recalled, “I would say literally, maybe even a week after I got pregnant, all of a sudden, it was like, no, no, that’s not going to work for me anymore.”
